History
In 1922 a group of cycling clubs formed the Road Racing Council to ensure uniformity in the conduct of time trials. The name was changed in 1937.

Objectives
The RTTC today still aims to provide a national uniformity in the conduct of time trials. The RTTC will take any steps which may be necessary to ensure the continuance and well-being of the sport for everyone aged 12 years and over, who wishes to compete in the 'Race of Truth'.
