The London Bicycle Messenger Association is a group of messengers and ex-messengers who have come together to give a voice to London's most visible cycling group.
Objectives of the LBMA
a) To ensure the successful realisation of the 2003 European Cycle Messenger Championships. (This has been achieved; see www.ecmc2003.org).
b) To foster a spirit of cooperation and community among London bicycle messengers.
c) To promote the use of pedal power for commercial purposes.
d) To provide and promote events which create a social environment in which all types of cyclists can engage, including bicycle messengers, commuters and racing cyclists.
e) To create links between the LBMA and other organisations.
f) To promote safe and conscientious behaviour on the road by bicycle messengers & other road users.
g) To ensure the future of the bicycle messenger industry by raising the industry's profile, and creating a better understanding between messengers, the businesses they serve, and the communities with which they interact.
