History
Founded in 1878 as the Bicycle Touring Club, ctc has promoted recreational and utility cycling and protected cyclists’ rights for over a century. CTC has 50,000 members and 30,000 affiliated club members.
Objectives
The CTC is Britain’s largest cycling organisation, providing its members with a bi-monthly magazine, travel and technical advice, information, third party insurance and legal claims advice plus access to 230 local groups throughout the UK. The CTC is also an independent and powerful voice at local and national level, campaigning to improve facilities and opportunities for all cyclists.
